The St. Bonaventure men’s soccer team traveled to Davidson to take on the Wildcats Saturday afternoon. The game showcased strong defense and goaltending, as neither team could find the back of the net, resulting in a 0-0 tie.

Davidson had the momentum early in the game, grabbing multiple scoring opportunities, but they weren’t able to capitalize.

In the second period, both teams had many chances to get on the board, but when the 90th minute hit, goaltenders Felix Schöne and Lucas Beltran recorded a shutout.

Shots favored the Wildcats, as they put up 17 to Bonaventure’s 9. Seth Hammond led the Bonnies with 3 shots, and Brady McGIone led Davidson with 4. The Bonnies had a lot of foul trouble today, finishing the game with 15 compared to Davidson’s 7.

The Bonnies fell to 2-4-2 on the season, and Davidson 2-3-2. Both teams remain without a win in conference play.

The Bonnies will now look ahead to next Saturday when they host George Washington. The game is at 6 p.m. and will be streamed on ESPN+.
