The Boston Red Sox should be one of Major League Baseball’s most dangerous teams next season with Chad Tracy leading a talented roster. I believe they have the talent to win the 2027 World Series.

Boston entered the 2026 season looking for a change. It fired longtime manager Alex Cora and promoted Tracy from within the organization to serve as interim manager. Tracy helped turn the season around, guiding the Red Sox to a playoff berth before earning the full-time managerial position.

Boston’s lineup features plenty of talent. Star outfielder Roman Anthony will enter his third season looking to improve after an injury-shortened season. Infielder Caleb Durbin provided consistent play throughout the season. Rotational players such as outfielder Jarren Duran, first baseman Wilson Contreras and right fielder Wilyer Abreu also stepped up. However, the bullpen and defense will need to improve in 2027.

After starting pitcher Garrett Crochet suffered an injury in April, the Red Sox were forced to rely on their depth. Peyton Tolle and Sonny Gray stepped up from May through September, helping Boston earn a wild-card spot.

The Red Sox started to find their rhythm in June and carried that momentum into July, when they put together a long winning streak. They swept four division opponents, including the New York Yankees, Toronto Blue Jays, Baltimore Orioles and Tampa Bay Rays.

The Red Sox have the talent and coaching staff to win the World Series in 2027.
