American Sprint Car Series: Friday and Saturday saw the ASCS head to Deep South Speedway in Loxley, Alabama, for its Halloween Havoc. Friday night saw Zane DeVault from Indiana take the win over 32 other cars. This was DeVault’s first win with the ASCS and fifth consecutive overall win this year. DeVault also led the entire 25-lap race.

Saturday saw the end of the ASCS season with none other than Sammy Swindell take the win over the 32-car field. Shockingly enough, though, it was Swindell’s first win with the ASCS and his fifth on the season. Starting from sixth place, Swindell fought his way to first and would got there on Lap 7.  When the checkered flag flew, Swindell was 3.6 seconds ahead of his competitors.

International Motor Contest Association: Friday through Sunday saw the IMCA crown their national champions for their Modified, Stock Car, Hobby Stock and Late Model divisions. The Modified champion was Chaz Baca from Mesa, Arizona. His year didn’t start off the best, but in late May, he received a new chassis that got him his 100th career win. After that, the wins kept coming to the point where he won the national IMCA championship.

The Stock Car division saw Mike Nichols take his 12th national championship. Nichols won a total of 22 races this year, as well as winning championships at Dawson County Raceway in Lexington, Nebraska and Shelby County Speedway in Harlan, Iowa.
